Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Plans and directs all facility Food Safety Programs for continued growth in a high volume environment
  • Experienced in Microbiology, specifically for Listeria testing and management controls in the past lethality exposed environment
  • Ability to provide technical guidance as required and provides root cause analysis and problem-solving
  • Create, Deliver and Implement QA Department goals and objectives
  • Provide definition, development and deployment of product quality assurance strategy, addressing all phases of product development
  • Troubleshoot quality issues that affect quality performance of all products
  • Manage all quality related internal and external relationships and audits, including USDA, Customers, SQF and other internal and third party audits
  • Assure effective HACCP /Food Safety Plans are in place with an active and functional Food Safety Team
  • Implement ongoing Quality Improvement processes and work with interdepartmental teams
  • Manages all special programs such as organic, kosher, Hala, etc.
  • Manages plant sanitation and cleaning programs
  • Investigate customer complaints, and analyze customer feedback to improve the quality and performance of the organization
  • Understand and a high level of all operational phases of the company to better implement new programs and manage all process controls effectively

Requirements:

  • USDA experience
  • SQF Practitioner
  • RTE meat experience
  • PCQI/HACCP certified
  • Private Label experience would be a big plus
