Job description:

This manufacturer is an industry leader for food processing equipment and covers North America as well as other countries around the world. They are seeking an Area Sales Manager to help grow and develop the California and International markets. This role will have a major impact on the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel within the territory (California and International markets)
  • New business development
  • Generate leads and prospects
  • Track all sales activities in the company CRM system
  • Train and mentor the project engineers
  • Strategic planning
  • Ability to target company presidents, VPs, project managers, plant managers, etc.
  • Participate in trade shows and conventions

Requirements:

  • Must be willing to travel 50% of the time and travel up to 2 weeks at a time
  • International travel
  • 5+ years of proven sales experience
  • Experience building relationships and providing support for current customers
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong familiarity with Engineering and Design standards
  • Mechanical aptitude
